A Buffalo native, he was a self-employed jeweler in Buffalo for more than 40 years. He operated Aitkens Co. at 225 Delaware Ave. until his retirement in 1973. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former Matilda E. Reuss; two sons, Donald F. of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Wayne H. of Slatington, Pa.; a brother, Raymond of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren. {O'Brien}.
