General Notes (Husband)

Frenchman by birth, in the War of 1812, went by Baptiste LaMarch and John Staves. Joseph's son, John Staves says father came with Lafayette and fought in Rev. War. John states that French name was Marreaux/Mareau pronounced Marrow. He thought his given name was Michael and pension claim could be filed under any of combination of given and surnames.
